Vivian Reynolds Delwiche, 87, of Stanleytown Health Care Center, died Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was born in Patrick County, August 13, 1925 to William Arthur Reynolds and Opal Nicholas Reynolds. She was a 1943 graduate of Hardin Reynolds Memorial School in Critz and was employed by the F.B.I. in Washington D.C. for 8 years. Later she was also employed by Hadley Hospital and lived in Washington D.C. and Florida until early 1990 when she returned to Patrick County. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Martinsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Delwiche; two brothers, Ralph and William Reynolds. She is survived by one daughter, Angie Benz of Patrick Springs; two sons, Allyn Delwiche of Stafford and Raymond Delwiche of La Plata, MD; three sisters, Marion “Peggy” Martin of Stuart, Helen R. Howell of Bassett and Louise Johnson of Goldsboro, NC; five brothers, Paul Reynolds of Patrick Springs, Rogers Reynolds of Tucson, AZ, Bobby Reynolds of Patrick Springs, Gregory Reynolds of Kingsport, TN and John Reynolds of Patrick Springs; fifteen grandchildren and thirty four great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Martinsville, with Father Mark White officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville and other times at the home of her daughter, Angie Benz. Memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, 1020 Carrington Place, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
