Virginia Richardson Bryant, 89, of Martinsville, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she was visiting with her daughter. She was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 23, 1921, to Howard Lee Richardson and Lillie Warren Richardson. She retired from H and K Meat Marker where she was a cashier and she was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Q. Bryant, Sr.; two brothers, William P. Richardson and Howard Lee Richardson, Jr..
Surviving are four daughters, Betty Lou Dixon of Bassett, Deborah Kiser of Myrtle Beach, SC, Bobbi Jo Stallard of Martinsville and Monique Louise “Mickie” Bryant of Ridgeway; one son, Wilson Quesell “Benny” Bryant, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel, with Rev. Susan Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel and other times at the home of her daughter, Bobbi Jo Stallard, 1274 Joseph Martin Hwy in Martinsville.
