Margaret Harris Parcell

Margaret Harris Parcell, 97, of Martinsville went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Stanleytown Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 22, 1921 in Henry County to Luther and Nannie Cox Harris, both deceased. Mrs. Parcell was retired from Tultex and was a longtime member of Fontaine Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. “Jake” Parcell; a sister, Hallie Moore, and three brothers, Everett, Tony and Obie Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Robertson (Jim) of Martinsville; her son, James D. Parcell (Jean) of Ridgeway; a sister, Eloise Frazier of Ridgeway; four grandchildren, Ryan and Mark Robertson, Michael Parcell and Donna Harris; and four great-grandchildren, Logan and Dylan Robertson and Alex and Hana Parcell. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville, officiated by Pastor Merle Brown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
