Mr. Stultz is survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye Montrief Stultz; a son and his wife, Eric and Christa Stultz of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; a daughter and her husband, Jodi and Brian Barnes of Woolwine, Virginia; two grandchildren, Chase and his wife Laken Barnes and Nicholas Barnes. Mr. Stultz had one great granddaughter, Mary Caroline.
Bill was a 1963 graduate of Emory and Henry University. He taught U.S. History for over 40 years and was an assistant football coach for the Martinsville High School Bulldogs. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Christian Church where he served in many roles including Sunday school teacher, deacon, and Bible study leader. Mr. Stultz was a founding member of the Mt. Olivet Ruritan Club.
Mr. Stultz had an unwavering love for God and his family. He loved history and sharing his knowledge with students and adults. He also loved football and was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home and will be officiated by Pastor Tim Mills of Mt. Olivet Christian Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Roselawn Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Christian Church.
