Born on March 15, 1938 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of Hollis and Rose (Clark) DeHaven.
She worked at Corning Glass for 34 years and retired in 1999, she made many dear friends while working there.
Rosalie was a great mother who was always giving to her children first. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She loved her friends and church too. Rosalie was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her dear friend and cousin, Carolee Kesecker.
Rosalie loved Jesus. She was an active member of Providence Bible Church, which became Grace Point Church. She was willing to help in any way that she could such as meals, flowerbeds, cemetery cleaning, and always greeting everyone who visited with a smile. She was a fine example of Christian love with a beautiful smile.
She is survived by her son,Michael Kesecker (Delia); her daughter, Beverly “Cissi” Foutz (Garry); grandchildren: Connie Myers, Desiree McDonald, Justin Watson (Lauren), and Billy Weigle; great-grandchildren: Emily Geiger (Ernie) and Eli Watson; and sister, Ruby Markley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor “Duke” Kesecker; a precious son, Barron Kesecker; four brothers: Elwood, Calvin, Allen, and Paul DeHaven; and two sisters: Mabel Sherman and Carla Lewis.
The family would like to thank the special caregivers and Cindy Thurston at Countryside, and Hospice of the Panhandle who are amazing. They all treated her with love and compassion. In addition, a special thank you to all who have helped care for her as well as pray for her. Mom will be truly missed; she was such a fine example to follow and a giving lady.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle or Grace Point Church.
