He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Sue Thore Watson. They had 57 loving years of marriage, and a loving, devoted family of five children, three sons: Robert William Watson, and his wife Yvette, of Valdosta, GA; Ronald Lee Watson, and his wife Kelly, of Martinsburg, WV; and Thomas Edward Watson, and his wife Cindy, of Centreville, VA. Two daughters: Debra Sue Watson Lindsey, and her husband Greg, of Sterling, VA, and Sharon Leigh Watson Proctor of Chincoteague, VA; and fifteen grandchildren.
Bob Watson was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Melvin Watson and Ethel Lee Boyd Watson of Honaker, VA; a brother, Joseph William Watson of Manassas, VA; a step-brother, Earl Wesley Creed of Pittsboro, NC; and a step-sister, Grace Hurst of Dublin, VA.
He has two surviving sisters, Betty Lou Watson Stevens of Strasburg, VA, and Doris Juanita Watson Safrit of Conover, NC; a half-brother, Ralph Edward Creed of East Lynn, WV, and a step-brother, Clinton Brumback of Sterling, VA.
He graduated from Northfork Elkhorn High School in Northfork, WV, and McLain Business College in Bluefield, WV, and he enjoyed a long working career in the Washington DC area as a controller for several corporations.
His love of music, sports, and fishing was passed on to his family, leaving a great legacy of joy and togetherness. His smiling spirit will live on.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday at the church with Rev. Joel Slemp officiating.
Entombment in Rosedale Cemetery, 917 Cemetery Road, Martinsburg, WV will be Wednesday at 3:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colchester Free Will Baptist Church
