He was born on December 21, 1955, to James and Earnice “Adams” Copeland in Washington D.C.
Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his son, Michael Copeland Jr., grandchildren, Mikayla Deery, Micah and Mason Copeland. He is also survived by one sister, Deidre Copeland, two nieces, Tosha Woods, Keisha Reddick, 4 nephews, Lawrence Copeland Jr. and his wife Julie, Wayne Copeland and his fiancé Rietche Dean, David Jenkins, Terrell Riley and his wife Trudy.
In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Copeland, two brothers, Lawrence and Leonard Copeland, one niece Debra Copeland, and his previous wife, Christie Howard.
