Born on March 25, 1929 in Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Celeste Ball. She was one of ten children and the last surviving.
As a missionary and school teacher in Jamaica, Linda was proud to have shaped the minds and hearts of many young impressionable students through education, dedication, and self-responsibility. She enjoyed teaching, serving her community, and being an active participant in her local church.
Linda will be remembered as a doting aunt, mother, grand-aunt, and grandmother who walked as a woman of God who answered the LORD calling from the age of 15 and walked with the Lord from her youth until she was called to glory at the age of 94. She loved her family and church very much and dedicated the majority of her life to doing missionary work in her home country of Jamaica, WI.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Lloyd Crooks; grandchildren: Arrietta Antoinae Crooks and
Linda Toni Crooks; her extended family: Doreen McLachlan, niece, Jashandra “Jah-Jah” Walters, grand-niece, Emanuel Walters, grand-nephew, Nehemiah Walters, grand-nephew, Jeremiah Walters, grand-niece, Alisa Downer, grand-niece, Craig “Bald-head” Downer, grand-nephew, Ronald Downer, grand-nephew, and his family, Phyliss Howell, niece, Donovan Howell, grand-nephew, Steven Howell, grand-nephew, Austin Parkinson, grand-nephew, David McLachlan, nephew, Ansle “Junior” Ball, nephew, Norma McLachlan, niece in-law, and Marlon McLachlan, grand-nephew; and close family friends: Darrel Kelly, Kirkland Moore, and Carmen A.
