John Thomas Neff was born September 19, 1953 in Washington, DC. At six months old he was adopted by John Louis and Alice Francis Neff. He passed away December 13, 2023 at his home in Hedgesville, WV. He is survived by his wife Cathy Jean Neff, daughter Alexandra Jeanne Neff, son-in-law Michael Joseph Hill, grandchildren, Bel Jean Hill and Michael Ray Hill. John’s career in broadcasting lasted decades working closely with his father. His favorite part was connecting with people and creating friendships. He loved spending time with his family, checking in always on their days. He was a voracious reader and loved watching his favorite movies repeatedly. He loved learning new facts and was an avid rock climber and outdoorsman in his youth with a constant everlasting desire to explore. John was excited to have connected recently with his birth family, learning he was the first of seven siblings. His time was always best spent having a good conversation over dinner with a glass of Irish Mist.
