John Martin “Bud” Aikens, 83 of Falling Waters, WV passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Shenandoah Center in Kearneysville, WV. Born May 4, 1941, in Darkesville, WV, he was the son of the late George William Aikens and Lottie (Whittington) Aikens. He was a General Motors Corporation and United Auto Workers retiree.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 37 years, Helen P. Aikens and one sister, Janet Emery.
He is survived by his daughter Joy Elaine Pearson and his son Jason Scott Aikens, both of Falling Waters, WV and one granddaughter, Corrine Jocelyn Aikens of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by his three sisters, Phyllis Imogene Kelley of Martinsburg, WV, Nancy E. Duke of Charles Town, WV and Beverly Donaldson of Hedgesville, WV as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg WV on Friday December 20th, 2024, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Kearneysville, WV. The family will accept visitors from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday December 19th, 2024.
