died Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Winchester Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 28, 1952 in Upperco, Carroll Co., MD, he was the son of the late Marion Albert Davidson, Sr. and Virginia Lee (Switzer) Davidson. He was the husband of Linda F. (Simpson) Davidson of Lake Frederick.
He was a 1970 graduate of Westminster High School and served in the Army National Guard 1972-1978. In 1986 he began his career with Baltimore County Fire Department and retired in 2017 as a Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator.
He and Linda faithfully attended Cornerstone Christian Fellowship of Front Royal, VA, and Scottsville Baptist Church of Scottsville, NC.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Jason Davidson (Dana) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Sallow (Jeremy) of Westminster, MD; step-daughters and sons-in-law Kerry Garrett (Josh) of Martinsburg, WV, and Jessica Rodgers (Mark), also of Martinsburg, WV; and six grandchildren, Mason Garrett, Lizzy Garrett, Joshua Sallow, Leo Davidson, Theo Davidson, and Jace Sallow.
He is also survived by these siblings and in-laws: Ethel "Ginger" Rill (Emerson "Boe") of Finksburg, MD. Marion "Junior" Davidson (Diane) of Westminster, MD. Janet Elaine Aldridge (Tom) of Meridianville, AL. Bryan Davidson (Karen) of Westminster, MD. Dale Davidson (Sonja) of Hampstead, MD. Kathy Haines (Timmy Sykes) of Hanover, PA. Lori Davidson-Bell (Bob) of Finksburg, MD. Judy Winkler (Gerry) of Hagerstown, MD. Don Simpson of Dayton, MD. Numerous nieces and nephews as well as a wide circle of friends.
Predeceased by his parents, brothers-in-law Jimmy Haines and Tom Simpson, and in-laws Dick & Eula Simpson.
Friends and family will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday August 9, 2024 from 5-7 pm. A visitation will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 at Rosedale Funeral Home at 10 am until the time of funeral services at 11 am with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
