Avis Marie Fleming

She attended Fair View elementary school in Fairfax, VA as well as schools in Virginia and Maryland. She later worked in the field of Hospitality. She had three beautiful children Kevin Howard (deceased), Paris Howard (deceased) and her daughter Tiera Garrido.

Avis was affectionately known as “Bunny”, and she loved Gogo music especially Trouble Funk, cooking, dancing and having a good time. Avis had a way of leaving her mark and quite the impression with such a zealous spirit. She truly was one of a kind.

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her daughter Tiera Garrido(Martinsburg, WV), her sisters Barbara Barry (Martinsburg, WV) and Carol Browne and her daughter “LuLu” (Washington, DC), Cousin Avis Baskerville eldest living relative (Martinsburg, WV), Niece Angela Lowe and daughters Ashton & Ariana (Fairfax, VA)

She holds a special place in the hearts of Renee aka “Cookie” McIver, Daisy Grantham, and Rick Cole (Martinsburg, WV).
