He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late John Alexander Congo and Violet Delores Tritapoe.
Tony had a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for the federal government, at the Veterans Affairs hospital and at Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center. Tony was also very proud to have been employed at the C & O National Historical Park. He was a true audiophile and drummer, he had a unique blend of passion for sound and rhythm, and a deep appreciation for high-fidelity audio. He was very creative and dedicated to audio and music. Tony cherished every moment spent with family, his sense of humor was infectious, using playful jokes and lighthearted banter to create a fun atmosphere where ever he went.
On December 9, 1983, he married D’na “Woods” and they created a beautiful life together. In addition to his beloved wife of 40 years, Tony is survived by one daughter, Tessa Danielle Congo and her husband Thomas Joseph Hasselman, one son, John Alexander Congo, and his mother-in-law, Jessica Robinson.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents.
