Rhonda Yvonne Davis

Rhonda Yvonne (Von) Davis entered into rest peacefully on November 29, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Born in Yazoo, Mississippi, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Wyatt and Earline Waters. After marrying, she worked as a hairdresser while raising her children. Yvonne was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and the love of her life, Richard, enjoyed traveling all over the country, taking day trips to the beach, and spending time with family. Oh, the stories she could tell! Yvonne’s love for her children and grandchildren was clearly evident. She spoiled them as often as she could. If spoiling grandchildren were a hobby, then that is just what her hobby was!

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt Waters and Earline Waters, and her brother, Glenn Waters. Survivors include her devoted husband of 58 years, James Richard Davis, her loving children, Kimberly Suzanne Lutz (Chip), James Richard Davis, Jr, (Maggie), and Kelli Yvonne Stewart (Ben), two sisters, Gwen Waters Thomas and Karen Waters Simmons, eight grandchildren, Rebecca Davis, Stephanie Worley, Ashlee Barrette, Courtney Davis, Anna Davis, Mary Davis, Jackson Davis, Michael Davis, and nine great grandchildren.
