James "Papa Jim" E. Fowler

Mr. Fowler was born to the late John and Allie Belle Fowler in Anderson, SC. Mr. Fowler has made Augusta, GA his home for the past 37 years. He served and retired from the United States Air Force serving a tour in Vietnam from 1964-1968. Mr. Fowler was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church and served in the Youth Division of the Church. His most recent place of employment was at Southern Eye Center in the maintenance department.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Fowler is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jean Fowler; and brothers, John Henry Fowler and William Fred Fowler. Survivors include his son, Jonathan Fowler (Angela).

Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4594 Columbia Rd, Martinez, GA 30907. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trinity Baptist Church.
