Elaine Stern Bachmann

EElaine Stern Bachmann, 85, of Martinez, GA and widow of Lloyd Spencer Bachmann, died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her home. She was born on May 15, 1936 in the Bronx, NY a daughter of the late Shepard Stern and Emma Lee Rosenblatt Stern.

Elaine graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx, NY and attended City College of New York. She was an honor student. While in school she loved to write poetry and was an active participant in school civic organizations and student government. She was a natural born sales professional and entrepreneur, selling Avon and later selling advertising for Pennysaver, winning awards for her efforts. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. Elaine had a kind and understanding heart so it was natural that people felt comfortable confiding in her and seeking her advice. Elaine was a wonderful cook and baker and always took care of family, friends and neighbors often providing a delicious meal or something sweet. Elaine loved to sing and knew the words to just about every song. Her most proud accomplishment was as a wonderful mom, wife, grandmother and sister. Family was everything to her.

She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd Spencer Bachmann. Elaine is survived by her daughters, Lauren Jolles and her husband, Nathan; Cheryl Natale and her husband, Paul; son, Dr. Brad Bachmann and wife Dr. Michelle Stern Bachmann; Sister Janet Stern Gross; grandchildren, Emily Jolles, Joshua and Abby Natale, Arielle Natale, Lindsay and Michael Levy, Hailey and Marc Goldenberg and great grandson Liam Levy.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm, Tuesday, September 14, at Westover Memorial Park, officiated by Rabbi Shai Beloosesky.
