Tracy "Goose" Bruce

Tracy "Goose" Bruce passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the age of 50. He was born on June 19, 1973 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Gustave Bruce, Sr. and the late Dorothy Creppel Bruce. Loving brother of John Bruce, Gustave Bruce, Jr. (Sue Ann), Doris Mills (Richard) and the late Dale Bruce and Terry Bruce. Proud uncle of Jagger, Nick, Raelynn, John, Jessica (Glenn), Kristin, Kayla, Angele', Zakk, Dustin and the late Mariah. Goose is also survived by his beloved furbaby, Duce, and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, his "brother" Felix Alexie and many dear friends.

Tracy "Goose" loved his friends and family but his strongest love was or his dog, Deuce. They were always together and sometimes that dog ate better than some people. Tracy also loved to boil crabs for his sister and sister-in-law. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as telling jokes and pranking people. He and his sister were very close and would often tell people that they were twins.

Goose and his dad were caretakers for Little Lake Club, where he was the 4th generation to hold that position. He made many friends that became more like family while working there. Willy, Steve, John, Peter, Greg, David, Don, China, Lou and his brother Felix, and his fishing buddy Garland Rolling just to name a few. He also worked for Bundy's Seafood, where he got himself another family. Grant was like a brother to Goose, Lisa, Mr. Kenneth, Herb, Erison, Duran and his little fishing buddy Lil' Grant. He and Grant enjoyed spending time together at the car track, arm wrestling, partying, butting heads and talking about life. Goose had many other friends that he considered family such as Gus and Casey Kersey. He would have done anything for them and they do the same for him in return. With a friendship of more than 35 years, they have been there for one another in many life changing situations like the loss of two brothers, a mother, a father, a niece, beloved pets and the births of children. Tracy "Goose" was loved by many and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Barataria Baptist Church, 2596 Jean Lafitte Blvd in Lafitte.
