Tammy Lynn Giardina

Tammy Lynn Giardina, age 63, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Nyack, New York. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Martha (Marty) Antoine Knutsen and her father, Albert John Giardina. She is survived by her step father Raymond A. Knutsen, many cousins, godchildren, and friends.

Tammy spent her life in various locations moving to Stony Point, New York; then to San Angelo, Texas and finally to Marrero, Louisiana. Her career was also diverse and she made many lifelong friends along the way. Her career journey began at JCPenney and also worked for Riverbarge Excursion Lines, Delta Queen Steamboat, and finally Ochsner Hospital.

Although Tammy never had children of her own, she was a part of many children's lives. Her godchildren include, Kaylee Wichers, Ellie Miller, Jake Lowther and Arron Potter. She was a CCD teacher for over 20 years at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Marrero. Tammy loved to vacation by cruise ship and enjoyed many vacations on numerous waterways. Additionally, Tammy loved crafting and created many unique blankets for various organizations and charities.

Services will be held on December 28, 2024 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 2:00PM with services following at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Saint Joachim Catholic church.
