Rose Louise (Keller) Gros

She was the beloved wife of the late Aubrey E. Gros Sr.; mother of Peggy Melerine (James), Patty Guidry (Kenny), Aubrey E. Gros Jr. (Christie), and Penny Matherne (Karl); grandmother of Kenny Guidry Jr. (Jennifer), James Melerine Jr., Jenna Melerine, Ryder Matherne, Hallie Matherne, and Noah Gros; great grandmother of Kylee Guidry; daughter of the late Theozime H. Keller and Jeanne Danigole Keller; sister of Sr. Jeanne Marie Keller and George F. Keller, as well as the late David Keller, Earl Keller, Sr. Catherine Mary Keller, and Lester Keller. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She worked as a bank teller. However, her favorite activity was being a mother and grandmother. She taught almost all of her grandchildren to play baseball and softball, using a paper and tape ball. She made sure that she attended her children and grandchildren's events, be they ball games or dance recitals, or whatever, she wanted to be there to support her family. She loved playing cards, going to the casinos, and taking cruises with her family. She was a member of the Belle Terre Golden Agers in Marrero. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Tranquil Living II for their love and care for over two and a half years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
