She was born on December 11, 1932 to the late Louis and Hilda Guidry Brady.
Mary was a parishioner of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and St. Mark Catholic Church, and a former Secretary of the Luling Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Whipple, Sr., her son, John H. Whipple, Jr., and her granddaughter Alice Ann Whipple.
Mary is survived by her brother LJ (Olympa) Brady of Luling, La and her children, Mary Lynell Whipple of Baton Rouge, La; James Norman Whipple of Ama and Nancy K Garrido of San Antonio, Tx. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Analiza (Tony) Gonzales of San Antonio, Tx; Antonio (Cara) Garrido of Frisco,Tx; Kari (Jimmy) Pool of Dumas, Tx and Jonathan Whipple of Ama, La and her great-grandchildren, John, Helen and Kotton Mead of Dumas, Tx and Adrian and Aria Gonzales of San Antonio, Tx. Mary is also survived by several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 19, 2022, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 10771 River Rd in Ama, Louisiana. The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Peter Akpoghiran and Fr. Bernard Francis. The visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00AM until the Mass time. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11316 River Road in St. Rose, Louisiana.
