Janet Marie Thibodeaux

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gerald Thibodeaux. She is the beloved mother of Susan Walker and the late Lonnie Thibodeaux. She is the loving mother-in-law of Scott Walker and Beryl Thibodeaux. Adoring grandmother of Chad Thibodeaux, Jennifer Walker and Katie Walker (Benjamin Norman). Janet is the daughter of the late Evans and Eula Estay. Beloved sister of the late Carolyn Gerding (Edward) and Loretta Estay. Lifelong friend of Ellen Farve. Janet is also survived by a numerous number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Janet was a lifelong resident of Marrero and she loved gardening, reading, solving puzzles and mostly enjoyed her casino trips.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Woldenberg Village (Dementia Unit) for their excellent love, care and support for the past 5 years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Janet on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4401 7th Street, Marrero, LA 70072. A committal service will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Terrytown, LA 70056.
