George Edward Mabry passed away on November 18, 2023 at the age of 73. He was born on August 26, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late William and Nellie Mabry. Devoted husband of 50 years to Jacqueline "Jackie" Mabry. Loving father of Gracelyn R. Mabry. Brother of the late Mary Nell Champlin and William D. Mabry, Jr. George is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and dear friends.
George loved spending time with his family and being on the water. His happiest days were spent fishing and boating with his family and friends. He served as a Mason for 53 years at William D. White No. 408 F. & A.M. Lodge where he received the honorary title of Master Mason. George was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, November 25, 2023 beginning at 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego.
