Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Louque Scott

Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Louque Scott, of Norco, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6th, 2023, surrounded by her five children and several grandchildren at the age of 84. She was born in Belmont, Louisiana to the late Alfred J. Louque, Sr. and Melodia Roussel Louque. Betty was married to the late George Scott, before his passing in 2015. Devoted Mother of Rhea "Cookie" Overton (Bob), Ronald Laiche, Jr., Whitley Laiche, Jayne Saia (Sal), and Cary Laiche (Cherie). Grandmother of Melissa, Ryan, Paige, Heather, Blake, Misty, Danyele, Michael, Cary "C.J.", and Connor, as well as 8 great grandchildren. Betty was the sister of Melodia "Micky", and the late Whitley, Ferdinand "Knox", Mary Mae, Hubert "Karot", Marguerite "Git", Hilton "Buck", Raymond "Pieyas", Alfred "Peck", Louisa "Gal", Melvin "Caccoon", Robert "Bobby", Eula Mae "Mitzi", and Joyce. Betty is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Wanda Blackburn, for her care and compassion during Betty's time of need.

Our family was blessed to have such a kind, loving, and unconditionally supportive Mom. She was the best mother we could ask for. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and everyone that had the privilege to know and befriend her. We will always love and miss you, Mom. The love and happiness you gave to all of us will be remembered always.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 11:00AM and continue until the service time. Betty will be laid to rest at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana.
