Douglas "Doug" White Sr., entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2022, at the age of 87. He was the son of the late Freddie White Sr., and Bessie Eugene White. Douglas was born on March 25, 1935 in Labadieville, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army and retired as a Operator at the Grain Elevator. Douglas loved gardening and spending time with his wife.
Douglas is survived by his devoted wife of 13 years Bernadette Rose White, 1 daughter, 1 son , 6 stepchildren, and 1 sister Inez Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents Freddie White Sr., and Bessie Eugene White, 1 son, 3 brothers Norman, Stanford and Freddie Jr., 1 sister Helen White Watson.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration Of Life on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00 am. The location is Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Visitation will began at 10:00am. Due to Covid-19, attendees are required to wear masks.
