Bessie Mary Graham

Bessie Mary Faucheaux Graham entered peacefully into heaven on Monday, June 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 85. Loving mother of the late James Michael Graham and survived by her daughter-in-law Christi Maxey Graham. A proud grandmother of Riley Michael Graham. Daughter of the late Bernadette Dufrene Faucheaux and Horace Faucheaux.

Preceded in death by her sisters and brothers; Una Faucheaux Roddy, Rena Faucheaux Davis, Raymond Faucheaux, Herbert Faucheaux, Lawrence Faucheaux, Wilbert Paul Faucheaux and “Brud” Faucheaux.

She is also survived by her niece Sharon Faucheaux Christiansen, whom she lovingly raised as her own, and also other loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was loved by all who knew her. Bessie worked at Charity Hospital as a nurse’s assistant and was later employed at Avondale Shipyard until retiring.

Bessie enjoyed attending the babies in the Nursery at Westbank Cathedral in Marrero, spending time with family and friends, cooking, knitting, crossword puzzles, singing in the church choir, Louisiana foods especially boiled crabs, and life in general. She was the most kind hearted; sweet in other words an angel given to us by God.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
