Ann Dufrene Hebert, of Houma, Louisiana passed away on July 26, 2021 at the Sanctuary at Passages Hospice in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 79. Ann was born March 5, 1942 in Bayou Gauche, Louisiana and was the daughter of the late Layrence and Verdie Baudoin Dufrene. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Merlin "Cookie" Hebert, Jr., son, Mark L. Tibo (Yvonne) and granddaughter, Jessica Tibo. She is survived by her sons, Jesse Tibo IV (Cheryl) and Adam Hebert (Danielle); daughter, Mary Ann Benitez (Pedro); 12 grandchildren, Jesse Tibo, V (Mandy), Shantell Richoux, Christine Tibo,(Kevin), Laura Cheramie (Jason), John Richoux (Desire), Mark Tibo, Carmen Burckel (Wayne), Katie Tibo, Hunter Hebert, James Rodriguez (Rachel), Antonio Rodriguez and Kaylee Ramsey; 10 Great-grandchildren, Macy and Jordan Cribbs, Ethan and Hayden Harding, Leonie and Chloe Richoux, Kevin and Carly Hogan and Logan and Lilly Tibo; sister, Linda Diket (David) and brother Daniel Dufrene (Debbie).
Ann was a hairdresser in Westwego for over 20 years before she and Cookie moved, for a brief time, to Houma. She and Cookie then moved to Kentucky where she worked on a racehorse farm for several years before retuning to Houma where she once again became a hairdresser. She work at the Bayou Towers until her retirement.
Ann loved her family, friends and life in general. She was a lover of all animals, especially her dogs Mimi and Lady Bug and her pig, Piglet. She knew how to party and she especially loved to party with her in-laws, "The Hebert's" who took her in to their family with open arms and loved her as one of their own.
Ann will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to have known and loved her.
A memorial visitation will be held at a later date at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, located at 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA.
