Ralph James Garrett, Jr., 72, of Stranger, passed away at his home. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin with Reverend Harry Dean, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until service time.
Mr. Garrett was born on February 1, 1949 in Marlin, Texas to Ralph James and Betty Jo (Albert) Garrett. He loved watching classic westerns, football, listening to classic rock and smoking cigars, but his true love was being with his family and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son; Major James Garrett, US Army and his wife, Laura, grandchildren; Austin, Max, Grace and Stephen, brother; Rick Garrett and his wife, Helen, sister; Nancy Blocker and her husband, Raymond and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
