Martha Kunkel

Martha Kunkel entered into rest Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Falls Community Hospital in Marlin. Funeral services were held at 10:00AM Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church with Brinda Shifflett officiating. Interment was held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Marlin Texas. Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Martha was born on June 8, 1945 in Marlin to Lawrence H. and Hilda Selma Bethke Komer; she graduated from Marlin High School. Martha loved gardening, flowers, humming birds, baking cakes and babysitting but most all she loved her granddaughter, Michaela. She worked as a beautician and as a homemaker. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Kunkel; and brother-in-law, Arnold Kunkel.

Martha is survived by sons, John Kunkel and wife Cherie; and Robert L. Kunkel; granddaughter, Michaela; Sister-in-law, Elaine Kunkle; Brother-in-law, Steve Kunkel and wife Julietta; and Aunts, Lena Drews and Loverna Tucker all of Marlin. Numerous cousins also survive.
