Lola Fischer

Lola Fischer, 88 of Marlin entered into rest Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Services will be 2:00PM Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin. Visitation will be 5:00PM to 7:00PM Friday at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.

Lola was born August 13, 1924 in Angleton, Texas to John and Bettie Hill Dickert. She married Leslie E. “Bede” Fischer on June 23, 1946 in Van Nuys, Calif. Lola was a past Worthy Matron of the Marlin Lodge #152 A.F. & A.M. and a member of the WMU of the First Baptist Church in Marlin. She loved to travel and was a wonderful seamstress. Most of all Lola loved her children and grandchildren.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leslie E. “Bede” Fischer in October 1995, and one brother J.T. Dickert.

Survivors include sons, Stephen L. Fischer of Bedford, TX, John D. Fischer and wife Jacqueline of Carrolton, TX; daughter, Jeanie Litteken and husband Martin of Wichita Falls, TX; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers will be Dan Fischer, Bob Fischer, John Fischer, Micah Fischer, Martin Litteken, Brad Litteken, and David Latimer.
