A graveside service will be held at the Cargill family plots in Marlin, Texas on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Arrangements coordinated by Adams Funeral Home of Marlin, Texas.
Born March 14, 1944, in Houston, Texas; she was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Ray and Catherine Churchwell, and her brother Ray Churchwell.
Karin enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as breeding and showing her beloved Papillons. She was retired from Collins & Aikman and had recently returned to Texas to spend her last few years close to her family. Throughout her life, Karin was always kind and generous to those around her and was well known in equestrian circles for showing Quarter Horses with her daughter Kristina and had recently started training with her granddaughter Fallon, in the equestrian arts, as well.
Karin is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bobbie Cargill; her daughter, Kristina Cargill-Atwood; her mother in law, Lucille Cargill; her son-in-law Brent Atwood and her granddaughter Fallon, all of Dallas, TX. Additional family survivors include Patsy & Keith Cargill of Manvel, TX; Angela and Kenny Cargill of Tyler, TX; Clegg Churchwell of Houston, TX; Mildred Cargill of Houston, TX; James and Nancy Cargill of Houston, TX and Jana & William Wallace of Nacogdoches, TX.
