Jackie Montgomery Greger

Jackie Greger passed away in her sleep at home on November 3, 2013.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10AM at Adams Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 6 from 6PM to 8PM at Adams Funeral Home.

Jackie was born October 29, 1924 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Hubert Marvin and Myrtle Lee (Cleaves) Montgomery. She moved with her family to Marlin in 1948. She had served on First Baptist Church committees and loved club activities during her 65 years in Marlin. She was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 286 in Marlin and served as Worthy Matron and secretary of her chapter.

Jackie worked at Lone Star Gas Co., City Tax Assessor Collector and Retired School Tax Collector and owned Lyons Florist for many years. She is preceded in death by husbands, Orville Lyons and Robert Greger; her parents; a brother and 2 sisters.

She is survived by 2 sons, Jim Lyons and wife Kristen and Paul Lyons; daughter Jan Johnson and husband Rodney as well as 2 stepdaughters, Marilyn Cox and husband Billy and Anne Wilde; also, 2 stepsons, Nick Greger and wife Debbie and Dale Greger and wife Melissa. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Naomi Erwin and husband Sherwin, as well as many other relatives and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Memorial donations may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 286, Marlin,Texas.
