Audrey M. G. Waldron, 85 of Warren passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Heritage Pointe Nursing Home. She had owned Garrett Travel for nine years in Alexandria, IN. Audrey was a 1945 graduate of Hazelton Senior High School. She studied for two years at Penn State University. She had attended the Methodist church, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Audrey organized the Water Festival at Markle for several years, and was involved at the Markle Park as a Life Guard. She had performed in several Broadway type musicals, and sang with Lyle Cotton at several area events for the Eastern Star.
Audrey was born on July 24, 1927 in Hazelton, PA, a daughter of Frederick C and Carrie (Davies) Wunderlich.
She was united in marriage first to Donald Waldron, and later in life to Radford Garrett.
Additional survivors include two sons: Gary W. (Debra) Waldron of Markle, and Mark F. (Robin) Waldron of Franklin, IN; Five Grandchildren; and seven Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with pastor Gerald Moreland officiating, at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Interment will take place at a later date.
In preferred memorial donations may be made out to The Markle fish and Game Club Park in care of Myers Funeral Home P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
