James Edward Laughter

He was born August 19, 1934 in McDowell County, NC to the late Carl Laughter and Sally Jane Dimsdale Laughter.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Joann Pearson Laughter and three daughters, Diane Ingram, Vickie Love and Cathy Wishion.

Surviving Mr. Laughter are one son, James Anthony Laughter; six daughters, Jane Hollifield and husband, Starling “S.W.” Hollifield, Stacy Blizzard, Tammy Hughes, Angie Minish and husband, Tommy Minish, Emily Brittain and companion, Bryan Williams and Amy Laughter and companion, Terry Bailey; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Laughter also leaves behind a special companion, Gail Johnson.

The Laughter family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Starling and Jane Hollifield’s residence, 15 Little Creek Dr. Nebo, NC 28761.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of McDowell County – 575 Airport Rd. Marion, NC 28752 or to the Laughter family to help with funeral expenses.
