Mr. Gardner was born December 2, 1947 in Bellfonte, PA to the late Charles “Smokey” Pleacher and Pauline Matis Muth. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and the US Army and was a member of Catawba Falls Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish Mr. Gardner’s memory are his wife of 51 years, Micky Gardner; four children, Kay Castelloe and husband, William, Vicky Lassiter and husband, Jerry, Gene Gardner and girlfriend, Emily Worley and Matthew Gardner and wife, Robin; four brothers, Randy Gardner, George Gardner, Patrick Gardner and Chuck Pleacher; and one sister, Gail Hughes. He was also blessed with five grandsons; five granddaughters; two great grandsons; and one great granddaughter.
A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Gardner’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Catawba Falls Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Wishon, Sr. officiating.
