Connie Elizabeth Poteat Condrey

She was born June 1, 1943 in McDowell County, NC to the late Walter Clyde Poteat and Florence Elizabeth Frady Poteat. Mrs. Condrey was a member of the East Marion Pentecostal Holliness Church where she was active in Women’s Ministries of the church. She retired from Galey & Lord after 30+ years of service.

Surviving Mrs. Condrey are her husband of 13 years, James Albert Condrey of Rose Hill Nursing Center; her brother, Walter Poteat and wife, Joyce; one nephew, Walter Alan Poteat and wife, Tammy; and one niece, Melissa Anne Poteat; four great-nieces and nephews, Dillion Lyons, Nikki Boone and husband, Caleb, Avery Poteat and Hadassah Poteat; two great-great-nephews, Taylor and Levi Boone; two uncles, James and Sam Frady; and one aunt, Dora Sparks.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2012 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Virginia Craig & Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
