Chuck was born in Enterprise, Mississippi to the late Jack Nolan Walker and Clara Parker. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Old Fort, and he was very active with the senior center.
Mr. Walker proudly served in the United States Navy. He held many occupations throughout his life, mainly as an insurance salesman, but he is best described as an entrepreneur.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Floy Marie Johnson Walker; two sons, Lee and Lynn Walker; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his nephews, Bobby Walker (Joyce) and Michael Walker (Patti); a niece, Jackie Durrett, a step-daughter, Sheila Roach; and a special friend, Rhonard MacRae.
A service to celebrate Mr. Walker's life will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Old Fort with Reverend Drew Dalton officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 12 noon to 1:00.
A committal service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 12 noon at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC, where military honors will be provided by the United States Navy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Mr. Walker's name to First Baptist Church of Old Fort, PO Box 10, Old Fort, NC 28762.
