ZIEGLER, Sr., Bill BILL ZIEGLER, SR. Mr. Bill Ziegler, Sr. died peacefully on December 24, 2014 in his residence at Arbor Terrace. Mr. Ziegler was born in 1920 in Marysvale, Utah but lived his youth in College Park, Ga. After attending Russell High School, Bill graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1941. He was proud to be one of seven brothers all of whom graduated from GA TECH. He continued his loyalty to Tech and was very active with the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. After serving in the Army during WWII, he returned to work at the Ford Motor Co. for several years before leaving to begin his own tool distributor company. He was president and CEO of Ziegler Tools, Inc. for over 60 years. Bill served as President of the Southern Industrial Distributors Assoc. He was a life-long member of the Downtown Atlanta Kiwanis Club. Bill was active with his wife Jimi at the College Park United Methodist Church and later at Peachtree Road UMC. After her death, he became a member of Mt. Bethel UMC in Marietta. He really enjoyed his time at The Aloha for Aging Center. Mr. Ziegler was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife Jimi, his granddaughter Kristi, and his six brothers. He is survived by his sister Betty Z. Dunn of Raleigh, NC, his children Kim Z. Vickery, Jan Z. Koehler, and Bill and Susan Ziegler, Jr. He also leaves behind to cherish him his six grandchildren and spouses, and his most precious eight great-grandchildren. His family, many friends, and other relatives will miss him greatly even as they celebrate his special life. Services will be held at the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga on Monday December 29 at 1PM. Visitation with the family will start at noon. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA. Dr. Randy Mickler will lead the service of celebration. The family will receive friends at Patterson on Canton Road in Marietta on Sunday, December 28, from 6:30-8:30. In lieu of flowers, the· family suggests contributions to the United Methodist Children's Home, 500 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030, kidz21eaders 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta 30068, or The Georgia Tech Foundation.
