William Edward Jones

William Eugene. Jones, 92, of Marietta, GA passed away on April 26, 2023 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. The family will receive visitors at Marietta Funeral Home on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 12:00PM-2:00PM with the service beginning at 2:00PM in the Marietta Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will take place at Kennesaw Memorial Park immediately following the service.

William was a veteran of the US Army where he served in the Signal Core in Worms Germany. After returning to the states, he began a lengthy career with Lockheed Martin where he worked for forty years. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. He loved woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a loving father and husband and was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

William was preceded in death by daughter, Sandy Popham; sisters, Mildred Saxon, Margret Powell, Edna Snelson, and Edith Lowery; brothers, Fred Jones, and Guy Jones. He is survived by wife, Inez Jones, son David Jones; granddaughters, Megan Walton, and Samantha Popham; great-grandson, Fisher Walton; great-granddaughter, Elsie Walton.
