Tommy Roy Reaves Sr., age 66, loving husband and father passed away at home on Monday, April 22, 2013 after a long fight with cancer. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama and retired in Georgia after 40 plus years as a transmission specialist. His hobbies included playing the piano, bowling and old cars. He was a member of the C.C. Riders Classic Car Club.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Shannon Reaves; his son Tommy Roy Reaves, Jr.; stepdaughter Emily Carlile and her husband Chris; four grandchildren: Kaila, Matthew and Amber Reaves and Collin Carlile; his brother Gene and sister Bonnie Ruth. His extended family includes nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at H.M. Patterson Funeral Home, Canton Hill Chapel on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 2:00p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
