Tim was born in LaPorte, IN on May 17, 1946 to Don and Grace McCarty. He was a 1965 graduate of LaPorte High School and a 1976 graduate of Indiana University with a major in Accounting. He worked for Clark Equipment for 25 years and was the owner of Ear-ific Molds for 16 years.
Tim's hobbies and special interests included being a former member of the DeMolays and Jaycees. He participated in competitive pistol shooting, was a NRA Benefactor member, and was a former Alta tennis champion. His interests included antique autos and American antiques. He was an avid motorcyclist and member of the BMW Motorcycle Association
He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Grace (Lange) McCarty and sister, Joan (McCarty) Olling both of LaPorte, IN. Tim is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandi (Qualls) McCarty of Marietta, GA; daughter, Shelley McCarty of Denver, CO; son, Andy McCarty of Marietta, GA; sister, Karen (McCarty) Hajarian of Hudson, OH; brothers, Perry McCarty of Carmel, IN and Ralph McCarty; grandson, Max McMillan of Denver, CO; nieces and nephews: Mike, Katie, Mike, Lisa, Teri, Lori, Jonathan, Julie, Ryan, Kye, Brian, Dawn and David. Tim will be greatly missed.
