Ruby "MiMi" Peeples Campbell died of heart failure on March 6, 2011. She was born on July 4 in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. A retired cosmetologist, Mrs. Campbell had a lifelong love of antiques, cooking, and games. She was a faithful member of Timberlane Church of Christ in Tallahassee. She loved a good story, a hearty laugh, her family, music, flowers, and bluebirds. She was preceded in death by her sons, Ralph E. "Cash" Campbell and Paul D. Campbell.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane "DeeDee" Myers and Art Myers of Tallahassee; her four grandchildren, Trip (wife, Dyana) Campbell, of Atlanta, GA, Brian David (wife, Meredeth) Campbell, of Memphis, TN, Elizabeth Campbell (husband, Dean) Spivey of Starkville, MS, and Bradley Harris (wife, Joni), Campbell, of California; her great-grandchildren, Chase and Cameron Campbell of Atlanta, Camille and Carter Campbell, of Memphis, TN, and Shelton and Campbell Spivey, of Starkville, MS;
A memorial service was held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday March 9, 2011, at Timberlane Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 18, 2011, in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, GA. the family will receive friends Friday, 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
