He was a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Army and was a Mason.
Survived by his wife of 69 years, Polly L. Harwell; son, Mark R. Harwell and his wife Dolores; grandchildren, Robert Ryan Harwell and his wife Ashley Rowe Harwell, Todd Addison Harwell; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 20 at 1pm in the Mausoleum Chapel at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Entombment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Mausoleum.
