Michael Wayne McManus

The loving family of Mike McManus, with great sadness, announces the loss of a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend (Monkey to his Campbell High School classmates). A resident of Acworth, Georgia. Mike passed away at Wellstar-Kennestone Hospital, on July 19, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 13, 1948. He is the son of the late Enoch (Sonny) and Betty Reeder Cheshire McManus and brother of the late, Larry McManus.

Mike will always be remembered as a kind and generous soul, with a very infectious smile & laugh.

He leaves his wife & best friend Carol Esposito-McManus of, 17 happy, loving years. His son Todd (wife Jennifer ) daughters Kayla Nestor (Garrett), Lindsey (Nate Richardson), Tori, Marissa and their mother Diana McManus. Son Casey (wife Cardi) sons Jordan, Zach and their mother Bonnie Zullo; Carol's son, Christopher Peacock; and his miniature schnauzer Maya McManus.

Mike was an avid, deep-sea fisherman and doing so, with his buddies. He loved his Georgia Tech, Falcons and The Braves. While vacationing in Chatham, Massachusetts he enjoyed attending Cape Cod Baseball games - Chatham Anglers.

Mike’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. In Mike’s honor, please wear loud bright colors.
