Leonor Hilda Castillo

She was born in Caraballo, Cuba, a suburb of Havana, on July 1, 1932 to Justo and Angela Riveron.

The family immigrated to Milwaukee, WI in 1963. She attended Alverno College and was employed by Milwaukee Public Schools as a paraprofessional teaching pre-K and young children. She moved to the Atlanta area in 1984. She was loved and adored by those who met her and had a special bond with young children. Her love and devotion to her family and her fortitude will be her lasting legacy.

Mrs. Castillo is preceded in death by husband, Mr. Julio R Castillo, her parents, and her six siblings.

Survivors include her son Jay R Castillo and Myles J Smith of Atlanta, GA, daughter Maria E Mason of Woodstock, GA, granddaughter Leah and Justin Mossman and great-grandchildren River and Brooke Mossman of Canton, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
