

Eleanor Anne Hallman died at her residence on June 15, 2022. She is the daughter of William Henry Hallman, Sr. and Willie Mae Henry Hallman. Her parents pre-deceased her in death, as did her brother William Henry Hallman, Jr. and his wife, Helen Renfroe Hallman of Boca Raton, FL.
Miss Hallman is survived by two nephews, Judge William Henry Hallman, III (Catherine) of Webster, FL, and John Mark Hallman of Bushnell, FL. She is also survived by two great-nieces, Amanda Lynn Hallman-Woythaler and Rebecca Ann Hallman of Webster, FL, and three second cousins, Jimmie Lyle, Janet Sims, and Patricia Widener.
Eleanor was a faithful and active sixty-year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She sang in the choir, taught children’s Sunday school, assisted with the senior social group, served as historian for the Women in the Church, and participated in women’s ministry activities. She prepared a history of Westminster as part of the centennial anniversary observance of the church.
Miss Hallman was in the first graduating class of the newly established Grady High School. She was active in student activities and was a member of the group who selected the design of the class ring and the logo for the new school.
She graduated from the Atlanta division of the University of Georgia. She was president of the Delta Lambda Sigma Sorority, secretary of Phi Chi Theta Commercial Fraternity for Women, a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society, and on the staff of the school newspaper. She was on the rolls of Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.
Eleanor was employed as an Analyst with the Department of Defense for 29 years. After retirement, she joined the National Active and Federal Employer Association, serving as first vice president and participating in chapter and district activities since 1993.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2:00pm, at Westminster Presbyterian Church (1438 Sheridan Rd., Atlanta). Interment will be in the family plot at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missions Fund of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
