Mrs. Edith "Ann" Powell, age 84, of Marietta, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years John C. Powell of Marietta, GA; Daughter Suzanne Parham of Kennesaw, GA; Daughter Gayle Christy (Richard) of Roswell, GA; Brother Sherroll Tatom of Brundridge, AL; Grandson Jason Adams (Joy) of Florida; Grandson Chris Adams (Tara) of Georgia; great-grandson Will Ackerman; great-granddaughter Siena Adams; Cousin Windly Tatom of Troy, AL. Ann attended Troy University and was a member of the East Cobb United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother to her two daughters and to her cat Bailey. She was an avid poker player. Ann enjoyed telling jokes and sharing stories about her childhood, and she loved playing pranks on her friends. Ann never met a stranger and she always had a hug for everyone. A chapel service will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Perry officiating.
