A Celebration of Life Service will be held for USAF Ret. MSgt. Danny Clifton Cole on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., in the Dobbins Air Reserve Base Chapel (Bldg. #853) at Clay National Guard Center, 1000 Halsey Avenue, Marietta, GA. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Ret. MSgt. Cole will be laid to rest with full military honors at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta, GA.
Danny passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 83. A Vietnam Veteran, he served the USAF for 23 years. He was also employed by Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Postal Service. Danny was born in Rome, GA, and was preceded in death by his father Walter Thomas Cole, mother Edith Rosella (Crocker) Cole, and brother Jerry Thomas Cole.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Henrietta Frances (Fleeman) Cole, whom he married on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1960, in the Dobbins Air Force Base Chapel. He is also survived by children Dan T. Cole, Edith Cole, Douglas (Carol) Cole, and R. Renee Gamache; brothers Larry (Kathy) Cole and Merle (Nancy) Cole; grandchildren Emily Miskey, Chris Reeves, Cameron Cox, Megan Cole, Zak (Lauren Tanguay) Gamache, Hannah Gamache, Abby Gamache, and Toby Pines; great-grandchildren Lexi Miskey, Maverick Miskey, Spira Miskey, Kayla (Jacob) Hartman, and Kimber Hallen; and great-great-grandchildren Waylon Hartman and Oakley Hartman; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Danny will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, courage, and dedication to his family, country, and community.
