Betty J. McConnell

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday at First United Methodist Church of Marietta with Dr. Sam Matthews and Rev. Elaine Wilder officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

Mrs. Nason was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has lived in Marietta since 1982. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marietta and was a member of Seekers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Nason also attended ELM.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip B. Nason of Marietta; children, James P. McConnell of Boulder, CO, Thomas J. McConnell of Nashville, TN, Jeffrey A. McConnell (Cara) of Marshall, MI, Janice A. Perry of Canton, Kathleen M. Morris (David) of Marietta, Steven R. McConnell (Tyrena) of Kennesaw; twelve grandchildren, Eric McConnell, Heather Arney, Matthew McConnell, Kevin McConnell, Daniel McConnell, Caitlin McConnell, Eric Honea, Lacie Honea, Anne Morris, Katherine McConnell, Hannah McConnell, Sarah McConnell; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, James A. McConnell (1989).

Flowers are appreciated, but contributions may be made to Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064.

Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
