Susan’s faith was very important to her and played an active role in her life. Susan was a Sunday school teacher, an Eucharistic minister, was a member of the church bell choir, and would volunteer at nursing homes with her congregation.
Susan worked at the Elmhurst Clinic as a medical receptionist for many years. During this time she was in different units and offices, making her a very familiar friendly face to other employees throughout the clinic.
In her free time Susan loved to garden with her husband Tony, as well as go to different car shows in town. One of her many talents included her passion of playing the classical piano, which she loved to do and was very good at!
Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by many.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Tony, sons Jay (Therese) Pokryfke, Paul (Carol) Pokryfke, Jamie (Karen) Pokryfke, Jerry (Tammy) Criscione, Tony Jr, Criscione; grandchildren, Jessica Pokryfke, Paige Pokryfke, Ramsey Pokryfke, Taylor Smith, Faith Pokryfke, Anne Pokryfke, Joey Pokryfke, Maureen Pokryfke, Tegan Pokryfke, Cody Pokryfke, Everette Pokryfke, Brandon Criscione, Terrance Criscione, Jerry Criscione, Kaitlyn Criscione, Anna Marie Criscione, Frank Criscione, Rose Angela Criscione, Michael Criscione; great-grandchildren, Cooper Pokryfke, Parker Pokryfke, Jeremy Criscione, Jackson Criscione, Gemma Criscione.
