Terry, the most loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughter, Amy Ashby (Paul); son, Benjamin (Erin); grandchildren, Tristan (Hailey), Heidi and Keaton (Marley) Ashby; Andrew (fiancé Anika), Katie, Ashley and Caden Sprankle; great grandchildren, Theodore and Jacob Ashby, brother, Danny; sister, Lori Ditty; nephews, Geoffrey Moreland (Geo), Evan Moreland, and Samuel (Sam) Moreland.
After graduating from McKinley High School, Terry served in the Army, attended Kent State University and then met his wife of 51 years, Rebecca. Terry tirelessly and faithfully supported his family by working for the United States Postal Service for almost 40 years and Publix Super Market for over 2 years.
In 1984, Terry took a temporary leave from the Post Office and moved his family to Columbus, OH, where he attended the Bible Institute of Ohio. He had a steel trap mind and used that gift and his BIO education to teach and challenge many to study, learn and live by God’s Word.
Upon retiring, Terry enjoyed family gatherings, antiquing, and collecting old alarm clocks. He also was a member and sang barbershop with the Chorus of the Everglades in Naples, FL. In the last couple years, his favorite pastime was spent playing and romping with his two precious great grandchildren, Theo and Jacob.
A Celebration of Life service will be held November 18th, 11:00 am, at Christ Community Naples, (6060 Collier Blvd, suite 36, Naples, FL 34114). Floral tributes can be sent to Christ Community Naples for the service.
